The SOAR program is offered by Eagle Hill School, educating children with language-based learning differences for nearly 50 years. SOAR offers differentiated academic instruction, small class sizes, and fun activities over a four week period beginning on July 7.
With a strong emphasis on reading and literacy skills, children who participate in the SOAR program receive individualized instruction that helps them soar all summer long. Classes are taught by Eagle Hill’s dedicated taculty who are all experienced in literacy instruction. Children with learning differences including dyslexia, dysgraphia, as well as ADHD learn in groups which are based on skill level rather than age. There is also an emphasis on math as well as study skills.
Each atternoon the Camp Program includes art, sports, trips to local Fairtield County attractions, water play, STEM activities, and more. These activities help children build social skills including working with others and forming strong peer relationships.
Those rising into 7th grade and older are also eligible for a unique Counselor in Training (CIT) program which combines the academic program with leadership training.
SOAR takes place at Eagle Hill School on 17 beautiful acres located in the heart of Greenwich, minutes away from both the Merritt Parkway and I-95.
The program ends on August 1. Financial support is available for those who qualify.
