Yorktown resident Cynthia Rubino was recently named CEO of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester, a youth development-centered nonprofit based in White Plains.
Rubino, who formerly served as the CEO and vice president for government relations at Berkeley College in White Plains, will begin in January and oversee the funding and operations of the YMCA’s branches, including White Plains, Somers, Mount Vernon and Camp Combe in Putnam Valley.
The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester is one of the county’s largest childcare providers, serving more than 500 children a day in afterschool programs across seven school districts. The YMCA branches provide day care, fitness and pool facilities, housing, summer camps and fitness classes.
