The Westchester Library System will relocate its headquarters this summer from a Tarrytown office building to 570 Taxter Road in the town of Greenburgh, a six-story Class A office building owned by Keystone Property Group.
Keystone said the nonprofit library system, which works with 38 libraries in Westchester communities, signed a long-term lease for 14,316 square feet of space that includes the entire fourth floor and a portion of the first floor at 570 Taxter. The nonprofit will relocate from 540 White Plains Road in Tarrytown.
Westchester Library System Executive Director Terry L. Kirchner said the new headquarters space “will provide us with the opportunity to expand our services to the community and to add programs to support our member libraries.”
Keystone was represented in the lease deal by Carol McGuire, vice president of leasing at Mack-Cali Realty Corp., and Jeff Warner, Mack-Cali senior vice president of leasing. The tenant was represented by Chris O”™Callaghan, managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle, and JLL associate Mark Jacobs.
Based in Conshohocken, Penn. Keystone Property Group in 2014 acquired a portfolio of five office properties in Westchester County and one in Stamford for approximately $91.5 million from Mack-Cali. The properties include 555, 565 and 570 Taxter Road outside Elmsford and the Talleyrand Office Park at 200 and 220 White Plains Road in Tarrytown. The company also acquired Soundview Plaza, a seven-story, 179,610-square-foot office tower in Stamford.
Mack-Cali retains an equity stake in the properties and shares in management fees and leasing representation with Keystone.
