In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the RDC Center for Counseling and Human Development will hold an open house on Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at its offices at 52 N. Broadway in White Plains.
The nonprofit invites visitors to meet its members and learn about the counseling services it offers for children, adolescents and adults. Light refreshments will be provided.
The center will also host the first of three lectures on Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Cognitive behavioral psychologist Sara Steinberg will present a lecture called “Anxious Parents, Anxious Kids: Strategies for Lowering Anxiety Within Families.”
A second lecture, Teaching Compassion: Creating an LGBTQ-Inclusive School Climate, is planned for Feb. 7. A lecture titled “Social Media 101: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube Social Videos ”” What Parents Need to Know” will be held on April 4.
