Guiding Eyes for the Blind is hosting an in-person Puppy Raiser & Sitter Informational Session on April 13 at 6:00 p.m. at its Outreach Center on 1961 Commerce St. in Yorktown Heights.
The event will highlight the organization”™s volunteer service that raises puppies for 14 to 18 months and also provides sitters for short-term relief once every month or two for a period of around two to 10 days, depending on the need.
No previous dog experience is required and volunteers ages 10 and up are welcome with the support of an adult. The organization requested an RSVP for the session via the Eventbrite website.
