The third and final race of the Westchester Corporate Cup 5K Summer Race Series will be held this Wednesday at SUNY Purchase.
The nonprofit Corporate Cup Races Inc., in partnership with Connecticut Track Club, will host the evening race, which is geared toward Westchester’s corporate workforce as an after-work event. The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the entrance of the university’s gym.
The series is being underwritten by entry fees and sponsorship from nine Westchester companies: Heritage Realty Services LLC; Dorian Drake International Inc.; O’Connor Davies LLP; Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management; Normandy Real Estate Partners; Citibank N.A.; and First Equity Title and Closing Services.
Proceeds will go toward the Westchester Continuum of Care, which provides shelter for the county’s homeless. The previous two races in the series were held June 24Â and July 22.
“These races offer participating companies a way to promote wellness and to get their folks together after work in a fun, team-building environment,” said Ed Dorian Jr., president of Dorian Drake International and a sponsor of the Westchester Corporate Cup Summer Race Series. “It”™s also an opportunity for participants to network with individuals from other Westchester businesses and to raise money for a worthy local cause.”
Runners can compete as individuals or part of team. Early registration is $30 and day-of registration is $35.
