Rock ”˜N”™ Rods of New York Inc.”™s second annual classic car show at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 10.
Each car will be charged a $20 entrance fee; $5 of every ticket will go to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Last year, more than 350 classic and collector cars were featured and thousands of spectators gathered for the show.
“It”™s a great way for us to reach out to a different demographic and the community,” said Yonkers Raceway Spokeswoman Clare Galterio. “We had such a good turnout last year, we were blown away.”
The Rock ”˜N”™ Rods is a Yonkers-based club for automobile enthusiasts, which incorporates philanthropic activities into programming.
The car show will be hosted in partnership with the City of Yonkers, Mayor Philip Amicone of Yonkers and the Untermyer Performing Arts Council.
