Manhattanville University in Purchase, New York, is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates according to “The Princeton Review’s” annual guide, “The Best 390 Colleges: 2025 Edition,” published on Aug. 27. The list is also posted on PrincetonReview.com.

Only about 15% of America’s four-year educational institutions are profiled in the book. The Princeton Review chooses the colleges for the book based on data it annually collects from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of college students attending the schools who report on their experiences at their institutions.
In the profile on Manhattanville, Princeton Review editors say Manhattanville University provides “endless opportunities to find your passion and get involved.” Princeton Review also notes Manhattanville’s “very diverse” community, with one student explaining, “I have made friends from all different backgrounds, states and countries.” Undergraduates appreciate the “close-knit relationships,” the “diverse course selection,” and the way the school provides “many connections for internships and jobs” while also serving to “help you build your portfolio as a young professional.” Students praise professors who often act as “amazing resources” and generally “bring a lot of expertise into their classrooms.” Students at Manhattanville appreciate that professors strive to “teach in a way that makes learning interesting and fun” and that “no matter what the students need, there is always an office, a person, or department ready, willing and able to help out.”
