Savings Bank of Danbury is seeking to encourage a new generation of financially responsible consumers with the introduction of the “3.0 Good to Go” checking program aimed at students ages 16 and older.
The program is designed to provide students with access to banking tools and apps while rewarding them for good grades. The bank is making 3.0 Good to Go available to students with a verified 3.0 GPA or higher ”“ high school students can get up to $25 twice a year and college students can get up to $50 per semester if they maintain strong grades. The program does not carry a minimum balance or a monthly ATM fee, and ATM fees culled from institutions other than Savings Bank of Danbury are reimbursed up to $15 per billing cycle.
“Establishing sound financial habits early in life is a great way to move toward financial literacy,” said Martin Morgado, president and CEO of Savings Bank of Danbury. “We are pleased to be able to offer these students incentives in their education and their money management.”
