SCORE Fairfield County has been named the SCORE Northeast Region District Award Winner in Connecticut for outstanding performance in 2024. Overall, there are a total of six chapters supporting entrepreneurs across the state. Other district region recipients included Chapters from Boston, Buffalo, Maine, New Hampshire/Vermont, New York City, and Westchester.
The award recognizes the SCORE Fairfield County Chapter for the exceptional growth in the services provided to local entrepreneurs, the success of its public outreach and excellent client satisfaction.
The chapter, by significantly increasing its business mentoring sessions and educational outreach across the county in 2024, now ranks among the Top 5 of all 230 SCORE chapters nationally supporting local small businesses based via the cumulative surge in these activities. SCORE Fairfield County provides one-on-one mentoring to pre-startups, start-ups, entrepreneurs and established business owners and conducts in-person workshops and webinars focusing on the formation, growth and overall success of small businesses.
SCORE Fairfield County has been a part of the local small-business community for more than 40 years. In 2024, the chapter’s volunteers provided free face-to-face mentoring and workshops for more than 7,000 aspiring local area entrepreneurs and owners of established small businesses.

The SCORE Fairfield County Chapter is part of SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with 10,000 volunteers serving all 50 U.S. states and territories. Since its founding in 1964 as a resource partner for the U.S. Small Business Administration, it has helped more than 17 million current and aspiring entrepreneurs start, grow or successfully exit a business through mentoring, resources and education.
SCORE Fairfield County serves small businesses and entrepreneurs in the cities and towns of Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, Newtown, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford, Wilton, Weston and Westport.
