Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. recently spoke to physicians, faculty, professional staff and other NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center Alumni Council (CAC) members about finding your roots, which is also the name of his acclaimed PBS show. The Emmy- and Peabody award-winning filmmaker, Harvard professor, journalist and more discussed how genealogy and history help shape American society.
The Center Alumni Council (CAC) was established in 1976 to create a collegial association for health-care professionals at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City and Westchester County.
The objectives of the founding members were to: support and promote the educational, research and clinical missions of the Medical Center; and foster fellowship among current and former faculty and staff members of both the hospital and the Medical College.
