Nonprofit Westchester (NPW), the county’s leading membership organization dedicated to meeting the needs of Westchester’s diverse nonprofit sector, has experienced significant growth over the past four years. This expansion, largely fueled by the organization’s critical role during the Covid-19 pandemic, has led to an increased demand for services that build nonprofit capacity, provide access to needed resources and foster collaborations that benefit Westchester residents, particularly the most vulnerable.
In her continuing leadership to strengthen our communities for all residents, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins has provided essential funding to support NPW’s expanded services. This highlights the Majority Leader’s commitment to the nonprofit sector and its transformative work.
“NPW has proven to be an invaluable resource, not just for the nonprofit sector but for the entire community of Westchester,” said Stewart-Cousins. “Their growth reflects their dedication to supporting agencies that uplift residents and enhance community well-being. I am pleased to support NPW, whose work has a direct impact on the lives of our constituents.”
“This expansion marks a pivotal moment for NPW as we continue to meet the rising needs of our members,” said Jan Fisher, executive director at NPW. “We’re grateful for the support from Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, whose commitment enables us to keep empowering the nonprofit community and, in turn, support the people of Westchester County.”
