In its 92nd year, KG+D Architects in Mount Kisco, New York, continues to prove that its greatest investment is its people. The firm recently promoted six employees — two to associate principal and four to senior associate —underscoring a hallmark of KG+D’s culture: leadership cultivated from within where careers are not just built, they are nurtured over time, often beginning before licensure and evolving into principal and partner roles. In fact, three of the firm’s current principals earned their architectural licenses while at KG+D and have spent their entire careers with the firm.
This deep-rooted commitment to professional development has resulted in exceptional longevity and loyalty. Principals at KG+D average more than 20 years with the firm, senior technical staff over a decade and administrative professionals eight years — far exceeding industry norms. The result is a collaborative, supportive environment where institutional knowledge, mentorship and innovation thrive.
“These promotions are more than individual milestones. They represent the strength and continuity of our firm,” said KG+D leadership. “We are proud to elevate these team members who have grown with us, contributed meaningfully to our work and will help guide our future.”
