First County Bank Foundation in Stamford has announced that Joanne C. Salvatore and Ronald M. Salvatore of Stamford, Connecticut, are the recipients of the 2024 Reyno A. Giallongo Community Legacy Award. A commemorative award plaque along with a $2,500 donation, in the name of the Salvatores, to local nonprofit, Malta House, was presented at First County Bank’s recent annual golf outing held at Rockrimmon Country Club in Stamford.
The Salvatores, both born and raised in Stamford, have been married for over 50 years and are long-time Stamford residents with an extraordinary history of community service.
Most recently, the Salvatores were honored by SilverSource and continue to be involved supporters.
Ron established Accurate Lock and Hardware in 1972 with Joanne by his side and has grown the company into the largest manufacturing facility in Stamford and the industry’s premier lock and hardware manufacturer, now celebrating its 52nd year. They are the parents of four sons: Randy, Reed, Rodd and Ryan and proud grandparents to13 grandchildren.

Their ongoing commitment to the local community has impacted countless local nonprofits and their constituents over the years,” said Robert J. Established in 2018, the Reyno A. Giallongo Community Legacy Award, named after First County Bank’s retired chairman and CEO, recognizes the exceptional achievements and meaningful contributions of an individual or couple, residing in Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, New Canaan, Westport, or Bridgeport, who through their actions, experience, talent and skills, directly benefit activities and programs in the areas of affordable housing, economic development, education or quality of life for families and children, as consistent with the First County Bank Foundation mission. The Community Legacy Award honoree receives a commemorative plaque and $2,500 donation to the nonprofit of their choice.
