Cummings & Lockwood has promoted Scott T. Witthuhn, an attorney in the firm’s Commercial Group based in the Stamford office, to partner.
Witthuhn, a transaction lawyer whose practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. He has substantial experience representing both landlords and tenants in office, retail and mixed-use leases, regularly advising them on the acquisition, disposition and development of office, retail, hotel, industrial and multifamily assets, and representing both lenders and borrowers in connection with real estate financings.
In addition, his practice includes representing businesses and high-net- worth individuals in a wide variety of commercial and contractual matters.
Witthuhn also represents financial institutions in nonreal estate secured lending transactions, including credit facilities secured by limited partnership, LLC and corporation interests, fine art collections, aircraft and yachts.
He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and his B.A. in economics from Yale University.
He has been recognized among the “Ones to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America, as well as a “Rising Star” by Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers.
