Millwood-based Westech Solutions L.L.C., an IT support company, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired IT services provider Micro-Point Inc., for an undisclosed amount.
Westech, which was founded in 2005, estimates that the acquisition will produce revenues in excess of $1 million.
Acquiring Micro-Point will give Westech a data center, allowing them to launch a variety of cloud computing offerings to their clients. Micro-Point has offices in Millwood and White Plains.
“Our strategy has been to vertically integrate our cloud-based services through the acquisition of a local data center,” Managing Partner Doug Holdgrafer said. Â “Staying local rather than outsourcing gives us greater flexibility when transitioning customers into the cloud, or expanding their network into a hybrid model. It’s the best of both worlds, really.”
Westech is a managed IT services provider specializing in proactive IT management processes. The company aims to reduce network downtime while increasing overall efficiency and productivity. Westech is an approved vendor for many of today’s top technology companies, including Dell and Microsoft.
