Kohlberg & Co. LLC, a Mount Kisco-based private equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in EN Engineering from General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm. The financial terms of the transaction were not announced.
EN Engineering is based in Warrenville, Illinois, and provides design, engineering and consulting services to gas and electric utilities and the energy and industrial end-markets. The company has 1,500 workers and 30 offices nationwide. EN Engineering CEO Steve Knowles and the company”™s executive team will remain at the corporate helm. General Atlantic acquired its majority stake in EN Engineering in 2015 from CIVC Partners.
