Harman International, the Stamford-based subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., has acquired Savari Inc., a Silicon Valley-based automotive technology developer of vehicle-to-everything communications (V2X) technology in 5G Edge and automotive devices.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Savari”™s employees will join Harman”™s automotive division.
In a press release, Harman said Savari”™s software and hardware technology will enhance its “comprehensive automotive telematics and advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) capabilities, and expand the company”™s strengths in 5G Edge, multiaccess edge computing (MEC) and smart infrastructure solutions.”
Savari deploys V2X sensor solutions and edge-based analytics for automotive and smart infrastructure, including vehicle-to-infrastructure, vehicle-to-phone for pedestrians and bicyclists, vehicle-to-vehicle and infrastructure-to-phone.
Savari”™s hardware and software are radio agnostic and can fit into any standards-compliant radio.
