Today Media, a Rye-based publishing company, has announced it has acquired The Valley Table magazine and the publication”™s Hudson Valley Restaurant Week program.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The Valley Table is based in Beacon and was launched in 1998 by married couple Janet Crawshaw and Jerry Novesky, with a focus on the regional food scene. Hudson Valley Restaurant Week began in 2006 and this year”™s celebration stretches beyond the traditional seven-day week to cover Nov. 4 to 17. The Valley Table will become the fifth magazine published by Today Media, which also produces Westchester Magazine, Delaware Today, Hudson Valley Magazine and Main Line Today.
“This acquisition enables Today Media to expand its audience and build on The Valley Table”™s success while honoring the mission and values that have made Valley Table an authority in its specialty,” said Michael Martinelli, Today Media”™s Hudson Valley group publisher. “It will also bring together two of the largest, most iconic food events in the region, as many of the restaurants that participate in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week will also be featured at Westchester Magazine”™s Wine & Food Festival, June 4 to 9.”
