Connex Connecticut, a free online platform for the state”™s manufacturers, has been launched.
The platform will help Connecticut manufacturers identify potential suppliers within the state based on their capabilities. Results can be filtered using hundreds of unique criteria including equipment, processes, materials and certifications to meet a manufacturer”™s specific needs.
The platform was developed with the support of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association and is jointly managed is jointly managed by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development”™s Office of Manufacturing and ConnStep, a business consulting firm. It is funded through the state”™s Manufacturing Innovation Fund.
“The goal of this platform is to increase manufacturing growth by connecting Connecticut”™s smaller suppliers with large manufacturers who need their services,” Paul Lavoie, Connecticut”™s chief manufacturing officer, said. “This is just one of the ways we are working to strengthen Connecticut”™s domestic manufacturing supply chain.”
