Datto Inc. has appointed Robert Petrocelli as chief technology officer.
According to the Norwalk-headquartered Datto, Petrocelli will be responsible for steering the company”™s technology vision and aligning strategy with its business goals in serving the managed service provider (MSP) market. Datto serves more than 500,000 small and midsize businesses in more than 130 countries through partnerships with more than 15,000 MSPs.
Petrocelli was previously a senior software architect at Oracle. Prior to Oracle, he was the founder and CTO of GreenBytes, a provider of cloud-scale IO-Offload solutions bought by Oracle in 2014. Petrocelli began his career as co-founder and CEO for Heartlab, a cardiac image and information management company that was bought by AGFA in 2005.
