The White Plains-based Hospice of Westchester has appointed Dr. Gary Tatz as its medical director.
Dr. Tatz has been an advisor to the hospice”™s Comfort Crew pediatric palliative care program since 2013. He replaces Dr. Mark Fialk, who served as medical director since the hospice”™s inception more than 30 years ago and retired last year, with Tatz assuming temporary oversight before accepting the position permanently.
Tatz is an assistant professor in pediatrics at New York Medical College and is an attending physician in pediatric critical care medicine and director of the pediatric palliative care program at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, where he has worked since 2005.
