When it comes to having fun, a survey from WalletHub suggests New York residents are having a better time than their neighbors across the Connecticut border.
The survey, titled “2021”™s Most Fun States in America,” ranked New York in fourth place while Connecticut was much further down the list in 43rd place. WalletHub came up with its rankings by number crunching “26 key indicators of a jolly good time that won”™t break the bank,” ranging from “movie costs to accessibility of national parks to casinos per capita.”
New York tied for first place with several other states in key criteria, including most restaurants per capita, most movie theaters per capita, most performing arts theaters per capita and most fitness centers per capita, while it ranked fourth for most golf courses and country clubs per capita.
Connecticut tied with several states for most marinas per capita, but it also ranked 48th for lowest local and state expenditures on parks and recreation.
