David H. Laufman ”“ a former U.S. Department of Justice official who oversaw investigations involving both Hillary Clinton”™s use of a private email server and Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election prior to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller ”“ has joined the law firm Wiggin and Dana as a partner.
Laufman was the former chief of the counterintelligence and export control section of the DOJ”™s National Security Division. At Wiggin and Dana, he will co-chair the firm”™s National Security Practice Group and will be a member of the White-Collar Defense, Investigations and Corporate Compliance Practice Group and the International Trade Compliance Group.
He will work in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. The firm”™s other locations include Greenwich and Stamford.
