As spring thoughts turn to roadway conditions, Thalle Industries said it is ready to meet the needs with new technology at its asphalt plant.
The company installed an Astec Heatec additive tank and a new Meeker reverse air baghouse over the winter at its Fishkill, New York, hot-mix asphalt plant, which reopened for the paving season on March 25. Thalle Industries is an environmentally responsible supplier of high-quality virgin and recycled aggregate asphalt products, concrete and brownfield fill for the construction industry. The baghouse is designed to help Thalle reach the highest levels of environmental responsibility.
“Air quality is one of our top priorities, and the new baghouse ensures that we meet all our obligations,” said Thalle Industries’ president and CEO Glenn Pacchiana.
As the pothole-filling season ramps up, Thalle Industries expects to ship up to 350 tons of asphalt per hour from its Fishkill plant. The facility produces diverse types of asphalt ranging from porous to warm mixes to custom blends.
In the previous winter, Thalle Industries upgraded its asphalt plant with new burner and silo technologies. During the height of the paving season, the plant can load pavement trailers and trucks within three minutes.
Thalle Industries’ ability to fulfill same-day orders makes the company a go-to supplier in times of emergencies. In the summer of 2023, the company helped Yorktown recover from a water-main break and reopen a major thoroughfare in less than 24 hours from the time of the rupture.
