
HAMDEN – With Eric Adams out of New York City’s mayoral race and less than a month to Election Day, a three-way race shows 46% of likely voters support Democrat Zohran Mamdani, 33% support independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, and 15% support Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.
This compares to Quinnipiac University’s New York City poll on Sept. 10 when it was a four-way race with Mamdani receiving 45% support, Cuomo receiving 23% support, Sliwa receiving 15% support, and Adams receiving 12%.
The poll is based on a survey of 1,015 New York City likely voters taken between Oct. 3-7 with a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.
Best representation of New York City under President Trump?
Likely voters were asked, regardless of how they intend to vote, who they think would do the best job of making sure New York City’s interests are best represented with President Trump in the White House. Thirty-five percent say Mamdani, 34% say Cuomo, and 22% say Sliwa, with 9% not offering an opinion.

Managing the city’s public schools: Forty-one percent say Mamdani, 36% say Cuomo, 16% say Sliwa, and 8% did not offer an opinion.
Keeping you and your family safe: Thirty-five percent say Mamdani, 32% say Cuomo, 23% say Sliwa, and 10% did not offer an opinion.
Growing the city’s economy: Forty-one percent say Cuomo, 35% say Mamdani, 15% say Sliwa, and 10% did not offer an opinion.
