The Garner Arts Center is looking for artists, artisans and inventors of all types for its second annual Hudson Valley Maker Faire, to be held throughout the 14-acre Garner Historic District May 18 and 19.
Having reimagined its arts festival as the faire, the center will once again host a variety of interactive demonstrations and creative displays from makers, artists, hobbyists, tinkerers, builders, performers, students and engineers based throughout the greater Hudson Valley region, New York City, the tristate area and beyond. The faire will also host such arts festival favorites as open artist studios, live music and performances, gallery exhibits, large-scale installations, creative activity stations and a variety of local craft food and beverage offerings.
The “Call for Makers” application and advance tickets are available on the official website hudsonvalley.makerfaire.com. (There is no fee to apply for the open call. Participation for accepted makers is free, unless the maker’s sole purpose is to sell or promote a product, service or organization versus an interactive demonstration of creative talents.)
