In recognition of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, FreshDirect is shining a light on its AAPI-led and -operated food brands and the Asian American Pacific Islander community’s rich food history in the United States. This month, and every month, FreshDirect works closely with brands such as Masala Mama (Indian legumes), Further Food (Chinese herbal remedies), Pure Mitti (Indian lip balm and soap) Mai Vino wines, Maya Kaimal (Indian sauces and condiments) and Lunar Hard Seltzer to bring special flavors and products to customers.
Pure Mitti and Mai Vino were also two of six companies that were hand-selected to participate in FreshDirect’s Rising Industry Producers and Entrepreneurs Program (R.I.P.E.), in which emerging New York-based brands received expert industry counsel and had the opportunity to leverage internal FreshDirect resources and support to grow.
