Anthony J. Enea, an elder law attorney and managing partner at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano L.L.P. in White Plains, was recently named a “Super Lawyer” for 2012 by Super Lawyers magazine. This is the sixth time Enea has received this distinction; he has consecutively been named a “Super Lawyer” since 2007. Â
Nancy Gold and Marjorie Finer, two Westchester female entrepreneurs, were each recently awarded the prestigious 2012 Lillian Vernon Award by the Women’s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC) in White Plains.
Gold, who is president of The Gold Standard in Katonah, and Finer, COO of The Inner Group in Peekskill, received their awards at the organization”™s annual Women”™s Business Networking Event Nov. 27. The awards are given by WEDC each year to female business owners who, like Westchester entrepreneur Lillian Vernon, have demonstrated exceptional service to the community.
Pam Hart, published poet and the Katonah Museum of Art”™s writer-in-residence, has been awarded an NEA Creative Writing Fellowship. Hart was one of 40 individuals to receive the fellowship out of 1,137 applicants. The fellowship, a cash award of $25,000, will fund Hart”™s poetry writing over the course of the next two years as she continues working on a book project that is already underway.
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) was recently recognized by GreatNonprofits, a provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations, as a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit. The award was based on the large number of positive reviews that WJCS received written by volunteers, donors and clients.
