Cosimo”™s Restaurant Group, one of the Hudson Valley”™s premier restaurant groups, recently opened its newest eatery, The Pizza Shop, at 703 Route 9 in Fishkill, with plans to expand the chain throughout the Hudson Valley in the near future. The Fishkill eatery is the restaurant group”™s second location ”“ The Pizza Shop on 27 S. Water St. in Newburgh opened in January 2011.
Carrie Cocurullo, bilingual facilitator of The Center for Prevention of Child Abuse”™s Parent Empowerment Program in Poughkeepsie, will be honored by the Social Action Ministry of Beulah Baptist Church at its 26th annual Black Achievers awards program in February. Cocurullo is being honored for her work in the community and for making a difference in her clients”™ lives as a positive role model for children and the mid-Hudson Valley community at large.
The Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance, a group dedicated to promoting the food and beverage industry throughout the region, recently announced that two organizations have joined its membership. Judelson, Giordano & Siegel CPA P.C. of Middletown and Fresh n”™ Easy Bakery of Kingston have become founding members of the Alliance, which focuses on helping food and beverage companies in the area work together as strong partners.

The region is one of 20 locations around the world to be highlighted in this year”™s listing and one of four in the U.S. National Geographic Traveler recognized the Hudson Valley for its festivals, shops, recreation and more.
