USI Insurance Services has acquired Gardner & Associates Enterprises Inc., a middle market insurance company in Atlanta, Georgia, the Valhalla-based company announced on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
USI officials said the acquisition further strengthens the company’s presence as a middle market insurance brokerage and consulting firm in the Southeast region, a strategic growth marketplace for the company.
USI in September acquired the employee benefits business of Benefit Controls of the Carolinas Inc., the company’s first acquisition in North Carolina.
USI has about 4,400 professionals employed in its insurance brokerage and consulting business in more than 140 offices nationwide. The company reported approximately $1 billion in annualized revenue, making it the eighth largest insurance broker of U.S. business and the fourth largest privately held commercial lines broker in the country.
