Kevin Zraly, founder of Windows on the World Wine School, will be the keynote speaker at the third annual Hudson Valley Beer, Wine, Spirits & Cider Summit sponsored by the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp.
The summit, which draws entrepreneurs, alcoholic-beverage industry suppliers and state officials, will be held Oct. 14 in the Marriott Pavilion on the Hyde Park campus of the Culinary Institute of America. Panel discussions will address the current climate for the industry and future opportunities in the Hudson Valley region.
Zraly, a wine educator, served for 25 years as wine director of the former Windows on the World restaurant in the World Trade Center. The wine school he founded has trained more than 20,000 students since its launch in 1976. The author of numerous educational books, Zraly is a past recipient of the James Beard Foundation”™s Lifetime Achievement Award for his impact on the food and beverage industry.
