It was business to business ”“ and a lot of networking ”“ at the Rockland Business Association”™s B-to-B Expo Oct. 8 at the Park Ridge (N.J.) Marriott. The expo, held from noon to 5 p.m., attracted nearly 1,000 visitors. One new service the expo offered was a bulletin board allowing members and visitors to post job offerings. The expo also gave job seekers an opportunity to pass out resumes. “We”™re trying all we can not only to help people who are looking for jobs (but) to help our local businesses fill them,” said RBA President Al Samuels.
The RBA will be among Hudson Valley chambers honored at the annual Pattern for Progress dinner, scheduled for Nov. 6, for its fight against the MTA”™s “mobility tax” soon to be hitting local mailboxes in the 12 counties the agency has a footprint.
