Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress launched its Center for Housing Solutions Sept. 27 in New Windsor as it seeks to address changing demographics and an evolving housing market here in the Hudson Valley.
State officials and Pattern representatives commented on the need to adopt a housing strategy that addresses the demands of both the region’s seniors ”“ many of whom wish to stay local ”“ and Millennials, who are seeking smaller, more efficient homes, according to a press release.
“We must design and advocate for a regional housing agenda,” said Pattern Vice President Joe Czajka, in the release.
The Center will work alongside state and private economic development entities to help drive the regional conversation about challenges facing the region’s housing market, Pattern said.
