Orange County commercial parcels have gone virtual; brokers”™ tours that once took place by bus are now being visited in cyberspace.
But before brokers show off available properties, the Orange County Partnership will honor its 2011 Most Valuable Partner, Michael Oates.
President of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp., Oates will bring local business leaders up to date on current economic conditions in the mid-Hudson Valley region, which includes Putnam, Rockland, Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan and Westchester counties.
The 2011 MVP breakfast will be held Tuesday, June 7, at the Falkirk Country Club in Central Valley beginning at 8 a.m. To register, call the Partnership at 294-2323. The cost is $35 per person.
After what is hoped to be a positive update on the current business climate, real estate brokers will be invited to the club”™s lower level, where office, land and industrial properties will be featured. The touch-screen tour will allow attendees to map the site and surrounding area via the Internet and view the site while their fingers do the “walking.” That event will begin at 10:30, with more than 120 brokers and Realtors signed up for the virtual tour.
For those who want to let off some steam ”“ or think about the properties they”™ve had a chance to look over ”“ a barbecue and a 1:30 p.m. round of golf is planned at the club.
