Love for ASK on Valentine”™s Day
Valentine”™s Day 2009 found a full house in the Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) gallery for an evening of champagne, sweets and song produced by ASK board member Ron Morehead, his Crown Production Company, and a host of their talented friends. The performers generously donated their time and talent to a fundraiser for the theater-to-be on the second floor of the ASK center at 97 Broadway in Kingston”™s historic Rondout district. ASK is currently raising funds and hopes to open the theater sometime in 2011, or sooner.
Attendees enjoyed a sumptuous feast of hors d”™oeuvres, chocolates and the requisite champagne, thanks to generous donations by Woodstock”™s Lucky Chocolates and The Merchant, a Kingston purveyor of wine and spirits and a generous ASK supporter. Presented in two acts with intermission, the show featured the vocal and instrumental talents of many performers, some of whom are ASK members.
