RIELLY NAMED REGIONAL VP OF NYSAR
RICK RIELLY of Rhinebeck took the oath of office Feb. 10 as the 2014 Lower Hudson Region vice president of the NEW YORK STATE ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (NYSAR) during the association”™s inauguration ceremony at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany.
Rielly, a Realtor for 17 years, is an associate broker with Fraleigh & Rakow Realty L.L.C. in Rhinebeck. He is a former two-term president of the Columbia Greene Board of Realtors and was named the board”™s 2006 Realtor of the Year.
On the state level, Rielly is a 2011 graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy. In addition to the NYSAR board of directors, he has served on or chaired numerous committees and working groups, including housing opportunities; communications and public relations; MLS issues and policies; and the legislative policy and local board education forums. Rielly was also a member of NYSAR”™s Realtor Honor Society from 2007-2011.
Rielly, is also active on the national level, serving on committees, including MLS issues and policies and state and local issues. He has previously served as a National Association of Realtors director.
HEALTH SYSTEM PROMOTES TWO
THE GREATER HUDSON VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM (GHVHS), composed of Catskill Regional Medical Center and Orange Regional Medical Center, has made new appointments to its executive staff.
MIGUEL RODRIGUES was appointed to director of security, safety and emergency management. He has more than 16 years of experience in security and was a crisis management instructor for New York state. Rodrigues has an associate”™s degree in criminal justice and political science from Orange County Community College. He is pursuing a bachelor”™s degree in emergency management from Empire State College.
JEAN-PAUL VALLET has been promoted to director of strategic planning and business development. He has been with Orange Regional Medical Center nearly eight years and assumed overall responsibility for management of the certificate of need process and played a key role in the development of strategic planning and business development initiatives. He will oversee business development and expansions throughout the system, including the creation of the GHVHS physician practices. He earned a bachelor”™s degree in history from St. Bonaventure University and a master”™s degree in international relations from the School of International Service at American University.
ARELLANO JOINS ULSTER SAVINGS UNIT
MARIA G. ARELLANO, an insurance account executive, has joined Ulster Insurance Services Inc., a subsidiary of ULSTER SAVINGS BANK.
Arellano will maintain an office at the bank”™s 2201 Route 44/55 Gardiner branch location.
A Fishkill resident and industry professional with eight years of insurance experience, Arellano will offer Ulster Insurance Services”™ many personal, commercial and life insurance products and services to individuals and businesses throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley. With her fluency in several languages, she will be especially helpful in meeting the needs of multilingual customers.
She holds an MBA degree from Marist College and is an active Marist alumna. Along with participation in multiple area chambers of commerce, Arellano participates in church events and local Girl Scouts troop activities in her community.
NEW PRESIDENT OF NYSAR
JP ENDRES of White Plains took the oath of office Monday, Feb. 10, as the 2014 president of the NEW YORK STATE ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS. The association”™s inauguration ceremony was held in conjunction with its business meetings at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany. She will serve a one-year term as president.
A Realtor for 19 years, Endres is a licensed broker and office manager with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty, recently moving from the company”™s White Plains office to its New City location. She is a past president of the Westchester County Board of Realtors, now the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, where she also served on and chaired numerous committees. She was recognized as the local board”™s Realtor of the Year in 2004 and named the state association”™s Realtor of the Year in 2010.
At the national level, Endres has served as a National Association of Realtors director and as a member of the Professional Standards Committee. She currently serves on the Multiple Listing Issues and Policies Committee.

DAWNE SALAMONE, associate broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties (formally Prudential Serls Prime Properties) was selected as the Dutchess County Association of Realtors (DCAR) Realtor of the Year 2013.
Dessie Henion, last year”™s Realtor of the Year, announced the 2013 winner at the DCAR Officers and Directors Installation at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie.
A committee, mainly consisting of past winners, select the awardee using criteria, which include ethical standard, representing the Realtor brand in a positive light, whether they are engaging and serve the community, participate in local, state and national Realtor association activities and are successful in business.
Providing real estate service since 1988, Salamone has established herself as a top professional giving back to the community as a CCD teacher at St. Mary”™s Church in Fishkill, volunteering with Dutchess Outreach Lunch Box program, food and coat drive and the Make A Wish foundation. She has served as the 2013 Women”™s Council of Realtors, Dutchess Chapter president and as a director of DCAR.
ACCOUNTANT RETIRES AFTER 42 YEARS
JUDELSON, GIORDANO & SIEGEL CPA, an accounting firm based in Middletown, announced that partner and shareholder BILL SIEGEL retired effective Jan. 1.
Siegel”™s retirement comes after 42 years with the firm. He built a reputation throughout the region for his deep knowledge of tax accounting and management, particularly in the areas of corporate and individual income taxation, business acquisitions and divestitures, business succession planning, litigation support and management consulting.
“On behalf of everyone at Judelson, Giordano & Siegel, I would like to sincerely thank Bill for all the great work he has accomplished both with the firm and in the community,” said Frank Giordano Jr., the firm”™s managing partner until this past December and who worked with Siegel for the 42 years. “He has been a mainstay at our firm for decades and has been a driving force in helping us to build one of the region”™s most respected accounting firms. Our entire team will miss his leadership and guidance. We wish him the very best as he enjoys his retirement after a long and successful career.”
Siegel received his bachelor”™s degree from Baruch College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
