Hospice Care in Westchester & Putnam kicked off its 27th annual Tree of Life celebration with a tree-lighting ceremony at the Jefferson Valley Mall hosted by Tom Furci, midday host at WHUD FM. Open to the public, guests were treated to festive holiday musical entertainment provided by the Taghkanic Chorale of Yorktown and the opportunity to honor a loved one by purchasing an ornamental dove inscribed with his or her name to be displayed on the tree. Running through Dec. 24, doves may be purchased at the mall, by calling 914-666-4228 or by visiting vnahv.org.
