Several residents of Rockland County will be honored for service to the community at Rockland Community College”™s eighth-annual Foundation Luncheon on Friday, March 28.
Among the honorees:
Ӣ Richard Rays, CEO, Paragon Federal Credit Union. Rays was appointed president and CEO of Paragon in 1993. The nonprofit financial institution has provided products and services to the college since 1991. In addition to supporting numerous campus endeavors, Paragon awards a $1,500 scholarship annually.
Ӣ Dan Keeley, director of Arena Management and Athletics, is considered the most prolific coach in SUNY RocklandӪs nationally recognized baseball program history. In 2006, he was inducted into the National Junior College Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Keeley coached the program from 1991-2002 and was named Region XV Coach of the Year seven times.
Ӣ Patty Maloney-Titland, associate professor and coordinator for the performing arts, has been teaching at SUNY Rockland since 1988. She is the adviser for the Campus Players, producer and co-artistic director for the College. Not only a professional actress, she is a member of the Arts Council of Rockland, Penguin Repertory Company Board of Directors, the PTA and the parent community service committee.
The foundation will also recognize the contributions of alumni honorees Regina DeCicco, screenwriter; Dennis Dale, president, Dale & Dale Associates; Clark Osborne, chief of police, village of Suffern; C. Scott Vanderhoef, Rockland County executive; and Ellen C. Jaffee, Assemblywoman, 95th district.
The awards luncheon will be held Friday, March 28, noon to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Pearl River. Tickets are $55 per person and can be reserved by calling Don Cairns, executive director of the RCC Foundation, at 574-4576.
