New York Hospitality Group, a restaurant and catering business in White Plains, has joined the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance with a goal to increase its use of products from the region”™s food growers and suppliers.
The company includes three food service operations: Caperberry Events, Sam’s of Gedney Way and The Great American Barbeque Co. New York Hospitality Group is led by CEO Peter Herrero.
“We pride ourselves on being marketplace innovators, and joining the alliance is the next step forward in employing more locally sourced products in our offerings,” Herrero said in a press release.
Founded by the New Windsor-based Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp., the alliance brings together organizations within the food and beverage industries to help area businesses forge partnerships. It provides access to economic guidance and marketing resources to businesses throughout the region.
“We want consumers to experience the best of both worlds: top notch food in a five-star environment,” HVEDC president and CEO Laurence P. Gottlieb said in the announcement.
