DeCicco Family Markets, with eight stores in Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties, will open its ninth outlet, on Halstead Avenue in Harrison in mid- to late September. The lot at 7 Halstead Ave. had for 25 years been home to a Food City store.
The 13,000 square foot store will have a full-service deli, meat department, bakery and seafood department as well as gourmet and specialty selections and a sushi bar. The produce department will carry local produce as well as organic and international vegetables and fruits.
“We look forward to bringing jobs to Harrison and helping rebuild the community. As part of our integration into each of our DeCicco”™s neighborhoods, we also donate one percent of store sales to the PTA in the local school district to use as they see fit,” said John DeCicco Jr.
Other DeCiccos stores are in  Ardsley, Brewster, Chester Heights, Cross River, Jefferson Valley, New City, Pelham and Scarsdale. Additionally, the chain plans to open a store in an Armonk town square development, which is currently under construction.
