White Plains Hospital plans to open a multispecialty outpatient medical facility in an Armonk business park later this year, hospital officials announced on Monday.
The hospital, which recently joined the Bronx-based Montefiore Health System, will renovate a 24,000-square-foot space at 99 Business Park Drive adjacent to the Equinox Fitness Center. Hospital officials said clinical services will include urgent care; primary care; pediatrics; obstetrics and gynecology; orthopedics; surgical and medical specialists; and diagnostic imaging, including mammography, 3-D mammography and breast ultrasound. The facility will be open seven days a week, with some evening hours.
“We have been very successful in recent years bringing our exceptional clinical services into other areas of Westchester beyond White Plains, and we are pleased to be able to extend that care into the Armonk community,” said Susan Fox, president of White Plains Hospital, in the announcement. “With 17 percent of our patients coming from outside of Westchester County, this facility will better enable residents of northern Westchester and beyond to access our services even closer to their homes.”
The hospital has targeted a late summer opening in Armonk, with a ribbon-cutting and open house celebration in September.
