The Westchester County Association will host a “Healthcare Reform 2.0” seminar Thursday to offer strategies and guidance on evolving health care insurance models.
Keynote speaker Kevin Smith, a health insurance expert with Mercer L.L.C. consulting agency, will offer attendees insight into using public and private exchanges and the urgency of choosing a plan now.
Though there may be delays implementing the Affordable Care Act, organizers say there’s “no room for complacency.”
“Employers ”” and their employees ”” need to pay urgent attention to the current health insurance landscape,” said Amy Allen, WCA”™s managing director of advocacy, in a press release.
The event will be the first in a series of new “Business Intel” events hosted by the WCA. Each event in the series is designed to feature Westchester’s most influential and strategic thinkers, surrounding hot-topic issues and trends.
The health care event will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown. Breakfast is included.
Registration is $50 for WCA members and $70 for nonmembers.
