Nuvance Health has appointed Dr. Daniel M. Labow as system chairman of surgical services.
Labow is a board-certified surgeon with a specialty in surgical oncology, and in his new role he will manage all aspects of surgery, including inpatient and outpatient services and trauma. Labow was also named as chairman of surgery at Danbury Hospital and its New Milford Hospital campus.
Labow was previously at Mount Sinai Health System where he was the executive vice chairman and vice chairman of quality for the Department of Surgery.

The hospitals in the Nuvance Health system include Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk and Sharon hospitals in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.
