Greenwich Hospital of Connecticut recently celebrated the opening of its new satellite administrative office across state lines at 900 King St. in Rye Brook.
Administrators at the 104-year-old, 174-bed community hospital late last year signed a 30,000-square-foot lease in the 203,900-square-foot building owned by Wafra Investment Advisory Group Inc. of New York City.
Nearly 80 finance and purchasing department personnel already occupy the Rye Brook office, said hospital spokesman George Pawlush. The total work force will be about 100 after employees from the hospital”™s medical records and outreach health-promotion departments relocate there in coming months, he said.
“This is our initial presence in the New York market,” Pawlush said.
Serving lower Fairfield County and Westchester, Greenwich Hospital is a major academic affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine and is a member of the Yale-New Haven Health System.
