A New Rochelle native and long-time accountant and manager for health care organizations has begun work as the new chief financial officer at Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center in Yonkers.
Michelè Salituro recently joined the pediatric specialty nursing facility after two years as CFO at the New York Foundling in Manhattan. He previously served as vice president of finance at the former St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in Manhattan and as CFO for Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J. Both the St. Vincent centers and the New York Foundling were established by the Sisters of Charity, the religious order that founded the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center in 1987.
“Michelè will be an asset as we continue to grow and expand in the coming years,” Patricia Tursi, CEO at the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, said in a press release. “Not only is Michelè coming to us with a wealth of experience in this industry, but given his history with organizations tied to the Sisters of Charity, we know that he fully understands our mission and is dedicated to the work we do for our children here.”
The center for medically complex children relocated from Manhattan to its newly built 137-bed, 165,000-square-foot complex in South Westchester Executive Park in Yonkers in 2012.
Salituro in the announcement said he sees his role as “a steward as all of us here at the pediatric center navigate the changing and at times uncertain climate of the health care industry.”
The Westchester native now lives in Danbury, Conn. with his wife, Stella, and their two children.
