Dr. Latha Alaparthi has been named associate chief medical officer (CMO) at Bridgeport Hospital’s Milford campus.
In this new role, she will partner with Bridgeport Hospital CMO Dr.Victor Morris in medical staff oversight and leadership oversight for gastroenterology.
Alaparthi attended JJM Medical College in Karnataka, India and completed her internal medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine’s affiliated program through Norwalk Hospital and her gastroenterology and hepatology training through Yale University. She previously served as chief of gastroenterology and president of Milford Hospital’s medical staff prior to its integration with Bridgeport Hospital, and in March 2022 became the first woman to serve as president of the Digestive Health Physicians Association, a national advocacy organization representing gastroenterologists in private practice.
Alaparthi is also an assistant clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine and Frank Netter School of Medicine.
