Grannick”™s Pharmacy, a Greenwich establishment that opened during World War II and endured as one of the increasingly few independently owned pharmacies in Fairfield County, announced that it has closed.
According to a report in the Greenwich Free Press, the business was established by Irving Grannick in 1942 and moved to several locations on Greenwich Avenue over the years before Grannick acquired 277 Greenwich Ave. during the 1960s. The pharmacy”™s website announced that June 13 was the last day of operations and that all prescriptions were transferred to the CVS Pharmacy at 99 Greenwich Ave.
“Thank you for selecting us as your pharmacy and supporting us for so many years,” said the business”™ website. “We”™d like you to know that Grannick”™s Pharmacy has made the decision to close its doors.”
