With businesses reporting a spasm of upward pricing pressures in the wake of federal health legislation and its 2012 survival in the U.S. Supreme Court, the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce is hosting an information breakfast Thursday, April 4, 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St.
The chamber”™s panel discussion on the Affordable Care Act will feature participation by New York City-based (and Gateway Chamber partner) HealthPass New York, which is addressing “the tide of working uninsured and providing small businesses with an affordable, quality, and flexible health insurance option that allows each employee to have a say in what is a personal and varied decision ”“ their health care.”
HealthPass addresses its objectives via “a menu of Fortune 500 health insurance options to New York-based small businesses, their employees, and sole proprietors in the metropolitan region.” Health Pass further said, “Nearly half of our employer members did not offer their employees healthcare coverage prior to joining HealthPass.”
HealthPass”™ director of strategic initiatives Mark Kessler will be joined on the panel by Ken McGevna, CPA; Dr. Bill Higgins, Westchester Medical Practice; and Mark Webster, CFO, Hudson Valley Hospital Center. William Powers of Powers Public Relations will moderate.
