The city of New Rochelle has begun rolling out parking payment upgrades across its major lots, including the New Rochelle Transit Center, New Roc Garage and library lots.
The improvements began in mid-June and “will modernize all major city lots,” according to an announcement from LAZ Parking, the Hartford company implementing the upgrades.
New parking terminals and mobile apps will allow parking patrons to pay and extend parking from their mobile devices as well as use a “find my car” feature. Parkers can also pay violations right at the meter on the same day they are issued, instead of mailing in their ticket and payment.
Parking patrons also will now enter their license plate number (and parking lot zone number at the larger lots) instead of the space number.
A full list of parking lots, as well as detailed instructions on the new meters, is available at newrochelleny.com/parking.
